UNSTUFFED CABBAGE 
1 good sized cabbage
1 c. rice, uncooked
1 egg
1 (12 or 16 oz.) ketchup
1 (12 oz.) ginger ale
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. chopped meat

Chop up and shred cabbage. Mix chopped meat, egg and rice (salt and pepper to taste). Mold into Swedish size meatballs and place on top of layered cabbage. Pour ginger ale and ketchup. Simmer 2 hours.
