canned Bartlett pear halves (enough for 1/2 pear per serving) grated rind and juice of 1 lemon grated rind and juice of 1 orange 1/2 c. sugar vanilla ice cream whipped cream semi- or bittersweet chocolate, grated Beat eggs until light in color. Add sugar. Continue to beat until mixture is very stiff. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into can and freeze. Freezer should be about 3/4 full as ice cream will expand. If you don't have a hand cranking freezer, you can use an electric one. If you have fresh peaches, substitute chopped peaches for part of the milk and add 1/2 teaspoon ginger to the mixture. |
