ITALIAN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c.Crisco
5 eggs
1/2 bottle anise
7 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk (if needed)
1 lg. sour cream

Mix - sugar, Crisco, eggs, and sour cream together. Add - flour, anise, baking powder and mix well. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Form into desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. Cool cookies and ice with confectioners' sugar.

ICING:

Confectioners' sugar, 1/4 cup milk and 1/2 bottle anise. Mix all together and ice cookies when cooled.
