GINGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
2 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves

Cream butter and sugar, add egg and molasses and blend. Sift dry ingredients into creamed mixture. Drop from teaspoons into greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
