SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
1/2 bushel tomatoes made into juice (about 10 quarts) Chop 3 lbs. onion 4 hot peppers 2 cloves garlic 2 c. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. oregano 1 tbsp. basil 36 oz. tomato paste 2 c. sugar 1/8 c. salt Cook onion, pepper and garlic in vegetable oil. Add sugar and spices. Add to juice. Simmer until thick (about 3 hours). Put in jar and seal. Use for spaghetti, pizza, sloppy joes or chili. |
