CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 lb. can Hershey's chocolate syrup
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. plain flour, sifted
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream together butter and Crisco. Add syrup. Mix well. Add sugar and mix. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each egg. Mix together milk, vanilla and baking powder. Add this to creamed mixture alternately with flour. Pour into greased and floured large tube pan. Start in cold oven. Do not open door for 1 hour.

Bake at 325°F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
