FLEMISH BEEF 
3 lbs. beef cubes
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 lg. onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. thyme
2 bay leaves
1 1/2 c. beef broth
1 (12 oz.) bottle of beer
1 lb. med. noodles
1/4 c. flour

Brown beef in heavy pot. Remove after all sides are brown. Saute onion and garlic. Stir in salt and pepper, thyme, bay leaves, beef broth and beer. Return meat to pot and cook about 1 1/2 hours. Remove meat. Add flour to liquid, stirring constantly until gravy thickens. Serve over cooked noodles.
