TACO SALAD 
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 med. head lettuce, shredded
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
2 tomatoes, chopped
Bottled taco sauce
1 c. tortilla chips

Crumble ground beef in a 1 1/2 quart glass casserole dish. Cover and microwave 5 to 7 minutes or until cooked. Stir twice during cooking. Drain and crumble meat into small pieces. Stir in tomato sauce and spices. Cover and microwave 4 to 5 minutes or until bubbly.

Arrange shredded lettuce in large salad bowls. Top each with meat sauce, cheese, onion, and tomato. Pour taco sauce over salad and garnish with tortilla chips. 4 to 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
