HOT COCOA CAKE 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour (sift twice)
1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Place sugar and flour in large mixing bowl. Then put butter, cocoa, Crisco and water in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over sugar and flour; mix well while hot. Pour buttermilk, eggs, soda, cinnamon and vanilla into mixture. Pour into a greased oblong pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar

Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a hard boil in saucepan. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix. Pour over cake while hot. Nuts may be added if desired.
