MOM AND ME LASAGNA 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
12 lasagna noodles
1 lb. shredded mozzarella
2 c. Romano/Ricotta cheese
1 c. fresh parmesan cheese
1 5 oz. can tomato sauce
1 14 oz. can tomato sauce
black pepper
2 tbsp. leaf oregano
2 c. water

Brown ground beef, pork sausage with chopped onion and garlic. Add chopped green pepper. Drain mixture. Combine tomato paste with 2 cups water. Whisk until blended. Pour into meat mixture. Add 1 can tomato sauce, leaf oregano, black pepper to taste. Simmer for at least 1 hour.

Mix together 2 cups Romano/Ricotta cheese with fresh parmesan and 2 cups mozzarella cheese, set aside.

Cook lasagna noodles just until done, drain and rinse.

In a 13 x 9 inch pan, add a layer of meat, layer of cheese mixture and about 4 noodles. Repeat layers, top with mozzarella cheese and bake at 350°F until golden brown.
