POTATO CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter at room temperature
1/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1/3 c. crushed potato chips
1/3 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 tbsp. sugar
powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour, beating until blended. Stir in chips and nuts. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten cookies with bottom of a glass dipped in 1 tablespoon sugar.

Bake 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove cookies from baking sheets. Cool on racks. While slightly warm sift powdered sugar over tops.

Makes 32-34 inch cookies.
