MIXED NUT CRUNCH 
4 qts. popped corn
2 c. nuts, optional
1 1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. butter
2/3 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Spread corn in large roasting pan. In heavy saucepan stir together sugar, butter and corn syrup. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Continue cooking without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over corn and stir to coat all the corn. Bake in 250 degree oven one hour stirring occasionally. Cool. Break into pieces and store.
