BEEF STROGANOFF | |
1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut into thin strips 3 tbsp. butter 2/3 c. water 1 env. dry onion soup mix 3 oz. can sliced mushrooms 1 c. sour cream Hot cooked rice Melt butter in a skillet over moderate high heat and cook beef strips until brown. Reduce heat to low and add water, onion soup mix, and undrained mushrooms. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is fork tender. Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Stir in sour cream and serve over cooked rice or egg noodles. |
