CRANBERRY (CHRISTMAS) SALAD 
1/2 lb. cranberries
1 pt. water
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 sm. box strawberry Jello
1 c. sugar
15 lg. or 1 1/2 c. sm. marshmallows
1 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Boil together 1/2 pound cranberries, 1 pint water and salt 10 minutes. Remove from fire and add baking soda; stir well. Add Jello, sugar and marshmallows; cool. Add nuts and apples. Pour in crystal bowl. This can be made a day or so before you want to serve it. Goes well with turkey.
