FRUITED OATMEAL BARS 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. quick oats
1 (10 oz.) jar red raspberry preserves

Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients. Mix well. Press 1/2 crumb mixture into 13x9x2 inch pan (greased). Spread with preserves. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Optional: Any kind of preserves may be used, i.e. apricot, strawberry and blueberry. Add extra ingredients to second half of crumb mixture! Be daring! 1/2 c. coconut 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs (crushed)
