CRISP OATMEAL FRUIT BARS 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. raisins
1 1/4 c. rolled oats

Beat together until fluffy, butter (at room temperature) and sugar. Beat in one egg. Mix in flour with baking soda. Add to creamed mixture. Then add raisins and rolled oats; mix well.

Divide dough into 14 equal parts. Place 3 portions on ungreased cookie sheet. Pinch dough to shape 8" rope, at least 2" apart. Flatten each rope into a 2" strip. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 10 minutes. Cut into 1" bars. Let cool. Store at room temperature up to a week. Makes 12 dozen.
