CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
6 to 8 med. size potatoes
1 c. water
1/4 lb. butter
1 doz. marshmallows
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
1 tsp. salt

Boil peeled potatoes until tender. Place in baking dish and cover with remainder of ingredients except marshmallows, which should be added 5 minutes before time to serve. Bake in slow oven at 300 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
