CHOCOLATE MOUSSE | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 pt. whipping cream 1 loaf size angel food cake (1/2 of a round one) 4 eggs 2 tbsp. sugar Melt chocolate chips. Separate eggs. Beat egg yolks until creamy. Add sugar to yolks. Beat egg whites until stiff. Whip cream. Add egg yolks to melted chocolate chips (stir fast - add egg yolks fast also or mixture gets lumpy). Add egg whites to mixture and beat good. Add to whipped cream and fold together until cream is all folded into chocolate mixture. Break up angel food cake and layer mixture on cake, in a 9 x 12-inch pan. Let stand in refrigerator for 24 hours or more. Serves 12. Lots of bowls and a pan to wash, but it's quick to make and yummy! |
