POTATO DUMPLINGS | |
4 lg. potatoes, grated 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3-4 tbsp. flour 1 egg yolk 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 egg whites, beaten Toasted bread cubes Grind potatoes. Mix with egg yolk, salt, pepper, nutmeg, egg white and flour. Dust hands with flour and form balls. Press a toasted bread cube into each dumpling. Boil in salted water 10 to 12 minutes. Dumplings will be done when they come to the top. Serve right away. |
