Red Delicious apples
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. lemon juice
Clear acrylic sealer

Slice apples 1/4 inch thick. Soak slices in salt and lemon juice mixture for about 3 minutes. Place slices on oven rack and place in oven. Bake at 150 degrees with oven door slightly ajar for 5 to 6 hours, or until slices begin to curl and feel leathery. Remove and cool. Spray with clear acrylic sealer. Great for decorating wreaths and swags.
