AUNT SADIE'S BRAN MUFFINS 
6 c. bran cereal
2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter
1 qt. buttermilk
5 tsp. baking soda
3 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
5 c. flour
2 tsp. salt

Pour boiling water over 1 cup bran cereal and add butter. In 5- quart ice cream pail mix rest of bran with sugar, eggs, and buttermilk. Sift flour, soda, and salt. Combine all ingredients and refrigerate.

Bake as needed at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Batter will keep for 6 weeks in refrigerator covered or bake all at once and freeze. Makes 5-6 dozen.
