2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. butter

Cook sugar, milk and butter until it forms a softball when dropped into cold water. Add vanilla, remove from heat; beat in coconut until creamy. Pour into buttered plate, chill and cut into squares.
