1/2 THE FAT CRESCENT ROLLS | |
1/3 c. vegetable oil 1 (8 oz.) carton plain low fat yogurt 1/2 c. sugar 2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 1 egg + 1 egg white (can use egg substitute for 2 eggs) 4 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. salt Butter flavored vegetable cooking spray Combine first 3 ingredients; set aside. Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl. Let stand 5 minutes. Stir in yogurt mixture, egg and egg whites. Combine flour and salt; stir in 2 cups of flour mixture in yogurt mixture. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Punch dough down and divide into 4 equal parts. Roll each into 10" circle on a floured surface. Coat with cooking spray. Cut each circle into 12 wedges. Roll each wedge. Place on baking sheets coated with cooking spray painted side down. Cover and let rise in warm place 45 minutes or until doubled in size. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 4 dozen. |
