BACON TIES
Vegetable cooking spray
1 1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 lbs. thinly sliced bacon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a broiler pan with foil to help in cleanup. Put broiler rack on top and coat with vegetable cooking spray.

Put brown sugar in a shallow dish. Tie each bacon slice into a loose knot. Press one side of bacon into brown sugar to coat. Arrange in a single layer, sugar side up, on broiler rack.

Bake until bacon is crisp and sugar is bubbly, 15 to 20 minutes. Place bacon, sugar side up, on paper towels to drain and cool. Can be left up to 3 hours at cool room temperature.
