AUNT KELLY'S CHOCOLATE CAKE 
3/4 c. boiling water
2 squares Baker's chocolate
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. cake flour
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
4 tbsp. butter
2 squares chocolate

Pour boiling water over chocolate and soda. Cool. In large bowl cream sugar, butter, eggs and salt. Add chocolate mixture then flour; beat well. Add 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes in a 9"x13" or 2 layer pans.

FROSTING: Cook sugar, milk and butter. Add vanilla, beat until spreading consistency.
