LUNCHEON TURKEY | |
1 1/4 c. sifted flour 5 tsp. salt 1 c. butter, melted 2 qts. half and half cream 2 c. milk 5 1/3 c. Minute Rice 6 c. turkey or chicken broth 2 c. grated American cheese 6 c. cooked asparagus 24 slices turkey 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds Sift flour and half of the salt into the melted butter. Stir in milk and cream. Cook over hot water, stirring occasionally until thickened. Pour Minute Rice in shallow baking dishes. Combine broth with remaining salt. Pour over rice. Sprinkle half of cheese over rice. Top with asparagus and then the turkey slices. Pour on sauce. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees about 20 minutes. Top with almonds. Serves 24. |
