7-LAYER MEXICAN DIP | |
1 med. can refried beans with green chilies 1 (16 oz.) can sour cream 1 env. taco seasoning mix Lettuce 1 sm. purple onion (Spanish) 1 med. fresh tomato 1 can black olives (med. size) Shredded cheddar cheese Spread refried beans evenly on a dinner size plate. Mix sour cream with taco seasoning (mix well). Spread sour cream mixture evenly over beans. Sprinkle bite-size pieces of lettuce over sour cream. Finely dice onion and spread over lettuce. You can use more or less depending on taste. Dice tomato and spread over onion evenly. Slice black olives and spread over tomatoes. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the other 6 layers - enough so that it covers the top. Serve with taco chips. Offer sliced jalapeno pepper on the side for those who "like it hot". |
