FOOLPROOF ROLLS OR BREAD | |
1 pkg. dry yeast 2 c. lukewarm water 1 tsp. salt 1 egg 6 c. flour 3 tbsp. oil or shortening, melted Mix yeast, water, salt and egg. Add 3 cups flour and beat well. Add oil and the rest of the flour; let rise until double (at this point the dough can be refrigerated, covered, for several days.) Make into rolls or a loaf and let rise again until double. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown and sounds hollow when thumped. |
