PLAIN BREAD | |
6 c. flour 1 tbsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 c. lukewarm water 1 cake yeast 4 eggs 2 c. lukewarm water 2 tbsp. shortening Mix first 5 ingredients and let rise 1/2 hour. Then add remaining ingredients. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough. Let rise until double. Place dough on board or table and knead for approximately 5 minutes. Put into 4 loaves and let rise until double. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. |
