HEATH BAR TORTE | |
1 1/2 c. crushed graham crackers 1/4 lb. butter, melted 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts, preferably pecans 6 egg whites 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 c. sugar 1/2 pt. whipping cream 12 Heath candy bars Combine butter, cracker crumbs, and nuts. Pat into 9 x 13 inch ungreased pan. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff. Add sugar and mix again. Spread over mixture in pan. Bake 1 hour in 250 degree oven. Crush candy bars; whip the cream. Mix 1/2 of the crushed candy bars with whipped cream. Spread over baked ingredients. Sprinkle remaining candy bars over top. Refrigerate until ready to serve. All calories removed prior to serving. |
