APPLE-RAISIN CAKE 
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. diced apples (not peeled)
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins

Use electric mixer to cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Put mixer away and add dry ingredients by hand. Stir in apples, nuts and raisins. Batter will be very thick. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan. bake for approximately 45 minutes at 350 degrees or until center is done.
