SPAGHETTI SAUCE | |
2 lbs. ground beef 3 (8 oz.) cans Contadina tomato sauce 2 (6 oz.) cans Contadina tomato paste 1 lg. green pepper, cut up 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, cut up (no basil) 5 pieces cut up garlic 1 lg. onion, chopped (1/2 to fry, 1/2 for sauce) 1 1/2 tsp. oregano 2 tbsp. + 2 tsp. sugar In large bowl, combine all ingredients except ground beef. Put in refrigerator until needed. With ground beef, shape meatballs. Put a little olive oil in a large pan and fry 1/2 onion until soft. Then brown meatballs. Drain fat. Add sauce and cook for 1 hour on a low heat. Stir often. |
