WILD BLUEBERRY SAUCE 
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Dash of salt
1 c. water
2-3 c. fresh blueberries
1 tsp. lemon juice
1-2 tsp. butter

Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water. Cook, stirring until thick, then cook 1 minute more. Add blueberries. Return to boiling to get a blueberry color, then add lemon juice and butter. Stir, then chill. Excellent as a sauce for ice cream, meringues, and cake.
