HOLIDAY LIZZIES 
Christmas is time for cakes and fruit. Make them small, extra nice and cute.

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. flour
1 lb. dates, chopped
1/2 lb. each candied red and green cherries and pineapple
4 c. pecans, broken
1/2 c. whiskey

Cream butter and sugar real well, add beaten eggs and half the flour that has been sifted with the soda and salt. Dice fruit and blend together. Put other half of flour with the fruit and nut mixture, add whiskey. Stir all together and the dough will become stiff. On greased cookie sheet, drop teaspoon of dough, bake for 20 minutes at 300 degrees.
