1 box Royal dark and sweet pudding mix (not instant)
1 yellow cake mix
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbsp. butter

Bake cake in a 9"x13" pan as directed on package, set aside to cool. In a saucepan, combine pudding mix, water and sugar, bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until this mixture begins to thicken. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter. To serve, cut cake into 3" squares, slice in half, fill with vanilla ice cream and cover with warm chocolate mixture and serve. For a holiday flavor, make chocolate cake mix and use peppermint stick ice cream or mint chocolate chip ice cream.
