LUELLA'S WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKES 
1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
6 tbsp. melted butter
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. buttermilk

In large bowl, combine dry ingredients. In another bowl, beat eggs, add butter or melted butter and buttermilk. Blend dry ingredients into egg mixture. Preheat griddle until drops of water sizzle and bounce. Spoon batter onto the hot, greased griddle. Turn when they are puffy and full or bubbles out before bubbles break. Bake until golden. Yield: about 24 (4") cakes.
