VACATION SCHOOL COOKIES 
10 c. shortening
7 1/2 c. brown sugar
7 1/2 c. white sugar
10 tsp. baking soda
10 tsp. hot water
22 1/2 c. flour
10 tsp. salt
5 bags of chocolate chips
20 eggs

Beat the shortening, sugars and eggs together. Add salt, soda and hot water to mixture and mix well. Add the flour and toward the end of the flour, add the chocolate chips. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees until light golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes. Then serve to hungry children with milk. This recipe makes 1 whopping batch of cookies, about 350.
