SAUSAGE STRATA 
2 lbs. pork sausage, crumbled
1/4 c. finely chopped red pepper
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
2 tsp. dry mustard
12 slices white bread with crust removed
1 lb. shredded Swiss cheese
6 lg. eggs
4 c. milk
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Day before serving, prepare strata. Grease 9x13 inch baking dish. In fry pan, saute sausage meat and peppers until sausage is well browned. Drain fat. Stir mustard into sausage mixture. Arrange bread in bottom of pan. Top with sausage mixture, then shredded cheese.

In large bowl, lightly beat eggs. Add milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Beat lightly. Pour over layers in baking dish. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees 40-50 minutes or until center seems set. Serve immediately. Serves 8-10. Makes a great holiday brunch.
