BAKED BEANS | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2-1 lb. bacon 2 large onions 1 (24 oz.) can baked beans 2 (15 oz.) cans northern beans 2 (15 oz.) cans kidney beans 2 (15 oz.) cans butter beans 1 c. brown sugar (more or less to taste) 2 c. ketchup 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan and drain on paper towel. Saute onions in bacon fat. Cook ground beef with onions and fat. Pour off all fat. Drain all beans except the 24 ounce baked beans. In a large pot, combine ground beef and onions, crumbled bacon, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and beans. Stir until mixed well. Bake in a warm oven 200-300 degrees for 2-3 hours. |
