GRANDMA FORDHAM'S HARVEST
PUMPKIN LOAF
 
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. pumpkin puree (or 1 can)
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Cut sugar and shortening together. Add 4 eggs and mix; blend in pumpkin puree; add dry ingredients and stir in chocolate chips. Bake at 325 degrees for about 60 minutes or until done. Makes 4 loaves.
