2 c. flour (self rising)
1 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
3 eggs
1/2 c. Crisco shortening

Mix the first five ingredients until smooth. Then add the eggs and mix until smooth. Grease your cake pans, bundt pans or long pans with Crisco. Then add your batter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or until done. (Test with toothpick). Top with icing or fruit, or serve with ice cream.
