CARAMEL BROWNIES | |
16 oz. pkg. caramels or more 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk 1 box Betty Crocker brownie mix (basic fudge mix or supreme) 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. or more chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) Cook caramels and condensed milk over low heat until melted. Stir often. Remove from heat. Mix brownie mix per directions on box and add chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts. Place approximately 2/3 of batter in a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350°F for about 12 minutes. Remove from oven and pour melted caramels over top. Drop remaining batter evenly over brownies by teaspoonfuls. Smooth it with dampened hands or knife. Using knife, cut through brownie batter randomly to marbleize. Bake for additional 25 to 28 minutes. Remove and cover with foil for 1 hour. Refrigerate for 1 hour. |
