LORIANN'S SURPRISE APPLE CRISP | |
Great served warm topped with heavy cream and Hershey's chocolate syrup!! 5 apples, peeled, cored and sliced (I use Granny Smith) 1 tsp. apple pie spice (McCormick) 1/4 cup water dash of salt TOPPING: 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 tsp. apple pie spice (McCormick) 1 cup oatmeal Preheat oven to 350°F. In a small bowl, mix butter, brown sugar and apple pie spice then add the oatmeal. Set aside. Peel, core and slice the apples into an 8x8-inch baking pan. Add a dash of salt, apple pie spice and water. Spread topping over apples. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes. Submitted by: Loriann E. |
