COOKIES:

1 pkg. Pillsbury plus dark chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg, slightly beaten

FILLING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg white

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine all cookie ingredients. Mix well. Firmly shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 9-13 minutes or until set. Cool completely. In small bowl, combine 1/2 cup powdered sugar, shortening, vanilla, and egg white; blend well. Add remaining powdered sugar; beat until smooth and creamy. Spread heaping teaspoon of filling between 2 cookies.
