OATMEAL CREAM FILLED COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugars and cream well. Add eggs. Blend in dry ingredients. Add vanilla. Drop by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

FILLING:

Cook 1/4 cup self-rising flour and 1 cup milk until thick. Let cool completely. Add 1/2 cup Crisco, 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until fluffy and white. Layer filling between 2 cookies.
