SICILIAN SAUSAGE SOUP 
1/2 lb. country style sausage
1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
1 c. chopped onion
1 lg. clove garlic, chopped
1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
2 c. tomato juice
4 c. chicken broth or 4 c. water and 4 chicken bouillon cubes
1 c. uncooked orzo pasta
1 tsp. dry basil, crushed or 3 tbsp. fresh chopped basil
1 1/2 tsp. fennel seed
Red pepper flakes (optional)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tbsp. salt or to taste
1/2 c. chopped parsley

Remove sausage from casing, fry lightly until meat loses pink color. Add onion, garlic, fry lightly together. Add remaining ingredients except orzo. Simmer 3/4 to 1 hour. Add pasta, stir occasionally. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
