1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
2 c. salted peanuts

Mix shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla. Blend flour, soda and salt and add to first mixture; add peanuts. Drop rounded teaspoonful 2" apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with greased bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake 10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
