1 tbsp. butter 9 graham cracker squares 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 (8 x 8 inch) glass baking dish Microwave the 1 tablespoon butter on HIGH for 1/2 to 1 1/4 minutes, spread over bottom and up sides of baking dish. Line bottom of dish with graham cracker squares, cutting if necessary to fit. Combine 1/2 cup butter and sugar in 4 cup glass measure or small bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute. Pour over crackers, spread carefully. Microwave on HIGH for 1 1/2 to 3 minutes or until mixture boils for 1 minute. Rotate dish 1/4 turn every 30 seconds. Cool for 2 minutes, then sprinkle with pecans and the chocolate chips. When soft, spread chocolate to frost bars. Loosen edges and cut into quarters. Remove each piece to cutting board and slice into smaller squares. For crispier toffee, store in refrigerator. |
