GERMAN APPLE CAKE 
Cake:

1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda

Fold in 4 cups thickly diced apples and 1 cup pecans, chopped.

Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan for 1 hour at 350°F.

Icing (Room Temperature):

4 oz. Philly Cream Cheese
1 1/2 tbsp. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. confectioners sugar

Blend well. Spread on cake as soon as it comes from the oven.
