Oven - Baked Drumsticks

I love the simplicity of this recipe but it is bland. I've made it three times now and it has been so long since I last made it that I forgot. I will definitely add more flavor by adding something to it. Also, the dry ingredients need to be doubled to cover 6 pieces of chicken.

This has been my go to dish for the last couple years. What makes this even better is I use half of the flour and do the other half Panko bread crumbs. I add a spicy Cajun seasoning (Tony Creloe is amazing) which is salt, cayenne, paprika garlic powder... It goes perfectly with a side of mash potatoes! So delicious!!!

Awesome taste! Awful texture - like paste covering the drums. I will take these spices and apply to a better bake instructions to get crispy oven chix.

While I thought the chicken came out juicy, it didn't have much flavor. I even doubled the garlic powder, included the optional teaspoon of salt, and added a teaspoon of chili powder. I think the drumsticks need to be seasoned directly before dredged in butter and coated with flour. I think I'll try the recipe again doing that. I like the idea of baking them. It's a nice, easy option for busy weeknights.

I made these a few weeks ago for dinner, and Im making them again tonight. I added hot sauce to the butter and dripped it over them. My husband loved them. Tonight Im going to add some red pepper flakes. We like it on the spicier side.

Loved loved this recipe thank you, I had a mishap with the oven tempeture but I think it's an oven problem. I will for sure save this recipe. My kid actually ate drumsticks cooked at home and like them!!!

Tried this recipe with both skin on and off the drumsticks. I like the skin off, my boyfriend likes the skin on. There was a significant difference between the two after being in the oven. When the skin is off there is flour residue on the chicken still. That could be of my own fault though considering I rolled mine in the flour first.

This was the first time I used this recipe.. and I LOVE IT! The chicken came our nice & tender, and the crispy outside was simply the BOMB (was really good!)! I used flour and mixed it with Zataran's Fish Fry coating mix and that really brought out the flavor too - love to experiment! Thanks so much for this recipe.... :)

Me, my fiance, and our toddler son love this recipe! I make it once every 1-2 weeks. It is great the way it is but over the times I have made it I have added a maple based seasoning as well to make it a little sweeter...others sound like they add chili powder to make it more spicy which sounds good as well. This is simple and yummy for families that don't have a lot of time for prep work ;-) Great with all varieties of potatoes and a veggie side.

Just tried it for my bf and I and he loved it. I had to put the broiler on after the time was up bc it was cooking but not crispy. I broiled four or five minutes each side, and turned over, just check as u go bc it will burn if you don't monitor it. Great recipe, thank you. im new to cooking so now I have a new skill.
